I am not sure if some of you agree or will disagree to love your work but do not love the company. At first glance, you might probably thought that this is wrong. Majority will disagree to this and in favor to love the company. Why? Because the company itself is giving you the salary you had worked for. Also, the mandatory benefits like annual leave, sick leave and health card that are very significant benefits an employee is expecting to receive.
But for me, it is the opposite. I will rather love my work and to improve my skills set because you will never ever know when the company stops loving you! When this happens, the company will have a lot of ways to stop your employment for good. One of the common reasons a company will say on which I had experienced before is:
- “Your position is not needed anymore and we regret that we need to end your employment effective today.”
This reason is very unfortunate but it is true. If you ever encounter this scenario that the company will let you go because they don’t need your skills anymore, don’t be worry because a lot of opportunities there are waiting for you. Even bigger and better companies would need your skills and grab it. This is what I call positive karma. If you will not do bad things to others and always do good, more good karma will come your way.
It is better to greatly improve your skills set while still connected to a company or employer so that you are ready when the company stops loving you despite all the achievements you did for the company. When a company will like to end your work immediately, you will just simply say:
- “Ok, no problem”
Because you are now confident with your skills set, a lot of companies out there are waiting for you to join and you just need to pick the best one for you!
