Indian Food in Hong Kong – Ho Ho Mei!

I just want to share with you guys how delicious or Ho Ho Mei (Cantonese term for “delicious”) Indian food is here in Hong Kong. I have been working here for 2 years already as a Web Designer and most of my colleagues are Indian nationals and they are mostly Magento Back-End Developers. They are the culprits who introduced to me their famous food which is very spicy. These are chicken biryani, roti and chicken curry which have full of flavor and very spicy. We commonly eat in a small home-based Indian restaurant which is near the office and the food prices are quite reasonable.

Ok. Nor more further ado, here are some photos that I took from my phone showing mouth watery Indian foods:

Chicken Biryani

The chicken is fried like a normal fried chicken in the Philippines but has some additional spices that makes it unique and has a strong spicy flavor. The rice is cooked like fried rice but contains a lot of carrots and spicy ingredients as well that will have the feeling you want to eat more but spicy. The quality of rice is different and is thin compared of the usual white rice we eat everyday.

Chicken Curry

Chicken curry is very tender and the soup is so spicy, mixed well with herbal ingredients that makes it unique and mouth watery. It is best to eat this together with roti or any kind of rice.

Roti

One of famous Indian bread that is a good substitute if you are not a rice lover. It looks like light to eat but if you already had three, you will get full and is equivalent of eating a lot of rice. This is best to eat together with chicken curry. Super love this Indian bread!

Roti

My advice is if you want to explore something new and want to taste a different dish that is not so expensive, I highly recommend you to try Indian food such as chicken curry, roti and chicken biryani.
